One of the
foremost mandolinists and teachers in the New York metropolitan area today. Performing in a dazzling array of styles
that include bluegrass, classical music, swing and jazz, Mr. Mitterhoff is in
constant demand on the concert stage and workshops around the world. He has recorded for the BMG, Sony,
Flying Fish, Rounder and Plucked String record labels with many artists as well
as under his own name. He has
performed with the orchestras of the New City Ballet and Metropolitan
Opera. Film credits include
You’ve Got Mail and Jimmy Blue Eyes.
He is currently touring as a featured performer with Jorma Kaukonen and Hot
